Today we visited all the memorials in Washington including the Lincoln memorial. The Lincoln memorial is in a rectangular building surrounded by 36 columns. The columns represent the 36 states that Lincoln kept from splitting up in the civil war. In the building Abraham Lincoln is sitting on a chair, totaling 19 feet. This is where MLK gave his "I Have a Dream" speech before the steps were put in place. This memorial was a beautiful tribute to Lincoln and represented his acts for our country in a tremendous way.Wednesday, March 26, 2014
